Katrina Kaif in the footsteps of Madhuri Dixit
Yes, Katrina will be performing a hot item number for Farah Khan's film Tees Maar Khan. She will be seen in a naughty ghaghra choli designed by Aki Narula. It's not a cake walk for the actress, as she is going to shake like Madhuri, who was known for dancing. She will practice for 15-20 days for the particular dance number.
Director Farah Khan confirmed that Katrina has to do a village belle number a la Madhuri in Tees Maar Khan. She added that she has even given her Madhuri’s DVDs to watch, so that she gets the right expressions and the thumkas. The song will be shot at Malsej Ghat and choreograph by Geeta Kapoor and the director herself.

Katrina Kaif fights with Prakash Jha over sarees

Sources said that Prakash Jha's choice of sarees for the actress led to the fight. The director wanted dull sarees for the actress to suit her role as a politician. She was asked to wear off-white sarees but she was not convinced and proposed to wear simple and dark ones.
It is said that it took time for Prakash to convince the actress and they almost got into an argument at one point of time. Katrina finally got Jha's point of view and relented. However, Jha said that it was just a healthy discussion.

Katrina Kaif won’t kiss

Katrina has now decided to make it official. She won’t do a kissing sequence, even if the producer-director uses the oldest trick to persuade her: the script demanded it.
Says a friend of the actress, “Katrina has said no to kissing scenes in all her films barring New York. And believe me, the directors are very keen to see her kiss her co-stars. Katrina cleverly keeps dodging all the so-called must-kiss scenes. She is a very conservative girl at heart. In fact, when reports claimed that she was going to wear a bikini in Dostana 2, a la Priyanka Chopra in the first Dostana, Katrina protested violently and made it clear to producer Karan Johar and director Tarun Mansukhani: no exposure, no kissing.”
Says Katrina, “I don’t deny I’ve done scenes in the past where I did things that I wasn’t comfortable with. But now I won’t. I just don’t feel comfortable doing kissing scenes, or for that matter, wearing a bikini on screen.”
In both, Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani and Raajneeti, there was apparently a request for a kiss with Ranbir Kapoor. Katrina said a polite but firm no.
Says a source, “All the intimate scenes in Raajneeti are between Ranbir and his American girlfriend played by Sarah Thompson. They have a lingering lovemaking and kissing shots. In the Indian portion of Ranbir’s story, there’s no intimacy with Katrina. She convinced the director that the character of the dignified politician would not go down well with the audience doing intimate scenes.”
Katrina is quite firm as she says, “It’s true. I’m not at all comfortable doing kissing scenes. Call me a prude or conservative. I just don’t feel kissing scenes jell well with our audiences. So no kissing scenes for me.”

Katrina Kaif averts wardrobe malfunction
At the awards event held on Sunday [^] night, one-time foes, Kareena Kapoor [^] and Katrina Kaif [^], met like long-lost friends. They hugged and kissed each other and Kat exchanged pleasantaries.
That wasn't all. They even shared a stylist, Anahita Shroff, who saved the day by fixing Kat's wardrobe malfunction at the event.
Katrina says, "When I was waiting backstage to receive my award, one of my friends stepped on it, and to my utter shock, it ripped right up to my thigh! For the first time I really freaked out, as the organisers kept telling me it was time to go on stage. I asked my friend to go fetch a needle and thread to sew up the tear but the poor girl was so nervous that her hands kept shaking and the stitching was crooked."
It was then that Katrina decided to take matters in her own hands. "I asked for Anahita, who had done Kareena and my styling for the event to come and help me. I was panicking by then! Anaita asked me to stay calm and within five minutes stitched it up so finely that I couldn't see the tear.
Then I walked on to the stage to get my award. Normally this kind of thing hasn't happened to me before, because we are always prepared at shows. My hairdresser or other backups are always there to help out."
Wasn't this the same gown Katrina had worn to an awards event in January? Kat admits, "Yes it was the same one I had worn a few months back. It's one of my favourite gowns as I love the colour red. I am glad I wore it as most of the actresses who came to the event - Lara, Aishwarya [^] and Malaika were all attired in various shades of red like pink or maroon."

Katrina Kaif hurt herself quite bad!
The heat that Katrina and Akshay generated during the rain sequence of Priyadarshan's film De Dana Dan left pain in Kat's back.
The actress, unable to move properly says, "As soon as I did that (rain sequence), I felt something give way (in the back). Now, I can hardly move around without experiencing pain."
Though she could have taken rest but Katrina opted to shoot, as she wants to wrap up the schedule in time and fly off to London to celebrate her birthday with her sisters and mother.
Incidentally, this is the second time Katrina has hurt herself on the sets of De Dana Dan.

Katrina gets hurt
Serene beauty Katrina Kaif is prone to injury. First, she hurt her leg for a film shoot and now she has again injured herself on the set of Priyadarshan ‘De Dhana Dhan’. While doing a dance step with Akshay, she got a twist on her back.
Confirming the incident, Katrina said, “It was a typical baarish-mein-bheegi-sari song. And well, I danced over enthusiastically. It’s always disastrous when you bend your back without a preliminary warm-up. Despite knowing this, I foolishly bent my back on Akshay’s arm. And as soon as I did that, I felt something give way. Now, I can hardly move around without experiencing pain.”
Katrina fears that her injury might not delay the shooting of the film as she is planning to go to London after the shoot, “I want to go to London to join my family and then we’re all going to Italy for a holiday.”

Salman-Katrina sex video – fake or real?
A sex video featuring the look-alikes of Bollywood stars Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif has reportedly surfaced in Canada.
Going by the reports so far, the amateur video is doubtlessly a fake. It features a male and a female pretending to look like Salman and Katrina through their wigs and make-up. The couple indulges in hardcore sex in the video.
Moreover, an MMS clip from the same video is being circulated among youngsters.
Apparently, such fake videos are not uncommon in the underground porn clubs in the west. This particular video aims to cash in on the international popularity of Salman and Katrina by featuring their body doubles. The funny thing is that many gullible people actually fall for such fakes and believe them to be real.

I Akon went on & on: Katrina
Katrina Kaif is a pro at being a showstopper, be it on the ramp or elsewhere. Her act at the closing ceremony of the IPL along with Akon was high on excitement and Kat says that it was only because it was choreographed differently.
Though her team, Royal Challengers, lost to Team Hyderabad in the finals, Kat says, “You can’t have everything in life. The players were disappointed, but you can’t say much at that point. We played a very good series nonetheless.
From being the underdogs in the first season, they’ve come a long way this year. Everything was working in favour of the team. People weren’t expecting to see me there for the finals, but I was there and I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed myself, both during the matches and during the performance. I’m really very impressed with the team’s performance and I think that Anil Kumble did an amazing job.”
Kat was excited about sharing the platform with Akon. “It was great. The energy and the atmosphere in the stadium was infectious. We were all so excited. The organisers had told us (Shiamak Davar, the choreographer of the show, and Katrina) that they wanted the closing ceremony to represent the spirit of the IPL. That’s why it wasn’t very Bollywood. It was more elegant, and it was all Shiamak’s idea. He said that there’s been enough dancing and that we should do something really different. Since Jai Ho! is an anthem of sorts today, we wanted the show to capture that spirit,” says Kat.
Performing with Akon was one of the high points of the show for Kat. “We all love Akon’s music. He’s quiet and shy, but seemed really sweet. The crowd totally enjoyed our act. In fact, when we made a re-entry to bid goodbye, we kept dancing, and went on and on,” she says.
Being in the same city, did she get to meet the other Bollywood hottie, Shilpa Shetty? “No, I didn’t see her at all. I was in SA for two RC matches and I was rehearsing in Mumbai for the show,” says Katrina.

I'm the first Indian Barbie: Katrina
British-born actress Katrina Kaif, whose face will now adorn Barbie dolls, says contrary to what people believe her Barbie is not an Indian counterpart of the international brand. She also feels that in many ways it's an endorsement of how kids connect with her.
"I'd call it a fun honour. To have your face on dolls that you've played with from childhood is quite flattering. We've been in negotiation for nearly six months. It finally came together for the 50-year celebration of Barbie," said Katrina.
"Contrary to what people believe my Barbie is not an Indian counterpart of the international brand. It's an honour because I'm the first Indian to be the face of Barbie. I'll be dressed the way the Barbie is all over the world," quipped Katrina.
"And I think in many ways it's an endorsement of how kids connect with me. You can't be the face of an international doll unless kids like you. I like that. The thought that kids like me enough to make me a part of their doll collection is very gratifying," added the 24-year-old.
The actress walked the ramp as the showstopper at a special show dedicated to Barbie at the Lakme Fashion Week here. She sported a small pink dress that the 'Katrina Barbie' will be wearing from September.
With the Barbie image coming to the surface, Katrina is a little worried about the bubbly-girl image that she'd like to change.
"So much for my attempts to move to more mature level as an actor," laughed the actress. "I guess Prakash Jha's Rajneeti will take care of that. But I'm very happy being the clean healthy Barbie-girl next door."
The doll's look and dress were planned in collaboration with Katrina.
"It is quite something, if you think about it. But I'd rather not. I don't want my head to get swollen. For me, it's enough that I was chosen because I reflect a certain bubbly wholesome personality, quite contrary to the 'sexy' tag that I get in net polls and which I'm not very comfortable with," she said.
Apart from Rajneeti, Katrina's other releases this year are debutant director Anthony D'Souza's underwater thriller Blue and Yash Raj Films' New York.

"I'd call it a fun honour. To have your face on dolls that you've played with from childhood is quite flattering. We've been in negotiation for nearly six months. It finally came together for the 50-year celebration of Barbie," said Katrina.
"Contrary to what people believe my Barbie is not an Indian counterpart of the international brand. It's an honour because I'm the first Indian to be the face of Barbie. I'll be dressed the way the Barbie is all over the world," quipped Katrina.

Kat, John denied entry in NY pub
While in New York, John Abraham and Katrina Kaif
had the shock of their lives when the bouncers of a swanky nightclub in New York did not permit them to enter the club.
Reason: John and Katrina did not have any identification proof with them. To add to their embarrassment, the bouncers paid no heed to their words when they told them they were top film stars from India.
The story goes that John and Katrina accompanied by Kabir Khan, director of New York had gone to a night club when the trio had to go back and fetch for some identity proof to enter the club. By the time, they returned, the party had almost ended.
Our source informed, “A crew member wanted to celebrate his birthday. He invited everybody to a new nightclub in New York. After a hard day’s shoot, the entire gang left for the night club.”
The source further added, “While the crew members went ahead in one car, John, Katrina and Kabir followed in another. When they were stopped at the nightclub, they tried to reason with the bouncers that they were well known and respected people from India. John and Katrina told them that they were film stars from India but the bouncers only stared at them. The bouncers had no clue what John and Katrina were talking about. They called the crew members, who were inside but they too were of no help.”
The trio went to their hotel to collect their IDs, a 60-minute drive from the night club. By the time they returned to the club, the party excitement had died down. They stayed at the nightclub for some time, but sadly the night had already been spoilt for the top film stars from India.

Serene beauty Katrina Kaif met with an accident while doing an underwater stunt with Akshay Kumar for Priyadarshan's De Dhana Dhan. Few days back, she was badly injured when Ranbir Kapoor unknowingly slapped her hardly. Due to the injury the shooting for Rajkumar Santoshi's Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani remained held up for two days. Katrina was hurt again when her foot fastened under the water.According to a source, "The more she tried to extricate herself, the more her leg got tangled. She tried to scream for help. But because of the noise on the sets including that of the stunt co-ordinators who were shouting instructions to the entire cast, no one heard Katrina's screams of pain."
Akshay then rescued Katrina, he quickly went up to her and got her out of the knot." Katrina's leg was bruised and bloodied. Panic prevailed on Priyan's sets for a while until medicos arrived and took care of Katrina's wounded leg. "It could've been worse," shudders the source, "But tetanus shots and sedatives have eased her pain."
When contacted Kat lightened up the issue and said that it was just a minor hurt.
