It's Katrina vs Sonakshi?

Undoubtedly, Katrina Kaif and Sonakshi Sinha are the top reigning queens of the industry, but the surging rivalry between the duo has become a matter of concern.

Scuttlebutt has it that the 'Sheila Ki Jawani' lasso is irked with Sonakshi for circulating rumors of replacing Kaif in particular endorsements.

However, the truth is contrary to the rumors in the town. The brands once endorsed by Kaif is now being endorsed by Sonakshi as the term of the contract with Kaif had ended.

Though Sonakshi has been enduringly refuting the replacement rumors, the rumors are completely contradicting her statements.

Besides, both the actresses have one thing in common, Midas Touch by Salman Khan. While Kaif is the ex-flame of Salman Khan, who boosted her career, Sonakshi has tagged Salman as her mentor.

The question that will Katrina and Sonakshi mend the fences and work together in future, is making many eyeballs rolling.

Kangna to play Abhi's wife

Kangna Ranaut will essay the role of Abhishek Bachchan's soul-mate and wife in Ram Gopal Varma's film Department.

The director met Ranaut, on Monday, to finalise her for the film. When asked about his decision to cast the actress, Varma explains, "I wondered why we haven't worked together as yet! Kangna very much fits into my vision as a filmmaker.

She is intense and emotional on screen. I've wanted to work with her, from the time she appeared in Gangster and Woh Lamhe.

But I didn't want to cast her in anything insignificant. The role had to justify her presence."

The rest of the cast includes Amitabh Bachchan and Sanjay Dutt. Ranaut is the only major female character in the film. As Varma explains, "It is very much a guys' film, with only one major female character.

The story is about three cops and the extra-constitutional activities they engage in to maintain a civil society.

Kangna is the only person in the world that Abhishek's character can share his agony with. She plays a very intense role in this dark, gritty and real drama.

Sonakshi-Akshay enjoy mud dance in 'Joker'

Shirish Kunder's 3D flick 'Joker' has been grabbing limelight for the fun and frolic on the sets of the film since they started shooting for it in Chandigarh.

Of late, Sonakshi Sinha and Akshay Kumar starrer 'Joker' has hit the bull's eye for the exclusive mud dance on the sets of the film.

Though the director of the film Shirish Kunder denied to divulge any details about this dirty dancing segment in the film, it exhibits a typical rural look, except Minnisha Lamba who dons a western outfit.

Delineating the picture, unveiled by Shirish on the micro-blogging site Twitter, Sonakshi Sinha has a village belly appearance, akin to her super-hit debut film 'Dabangg', while Akshay Kumar dons a quite distinct look.

Besides, Shreyas Talpade, Vindoo Dara Singh, Sanjay Mishra, and veteran actor Asrani appeared enthralled while shooting for it.

Apart from the amusement on the sets of the film, reports have it that nearly 40 percent of the shooting of the film has been completed, and it's even believed that the shooting of the film will be over prior to the set time.

Produced under the banner of Three's Company and Hari Om Entertainment, 'Joker' is a 3D adventure genre film directed by 'Jaan-E-Mann' fame director Shirish Kunder.

Confirming the reports about 'Joker', Shirish told Glamsham, "Yes, over 40% of the principal shooting of JOKER is already complete. This was a pretty productive first schedule though I must admit that on and off rains in Punjab were a major scare factor.

“Still, we managed to come back right on time with all portions that were supposed to be shot in cans now. Another major contributing factor is that Akshay also shoots fast by being on time."
