Sonam Kapoor plays a woman searching for her identity in her next release. We asked the actress what she feels about the recent attack on women in Mangalore and the brouhaha over pub-going women.
It is a stupid way of looking at women. I am ashamed of the men who spoke adversely about women going to pubs. Indian women are intelligent and know how to keep their families happy. Women are not inferior to men in any way and men should get that point clear!” she says.
The actress, who has gone deglam in her soon-to-release flick, says that she is all for doing everything for her character. “Apart from the clothes by costume designers, I also dipped into my mom’s wardrobe and my grandmother’s jewellery collection to look exactly like my character, that of a Delhi girl,” she says.
