Dev is a "really really great guy" says Freida Pinto
London, May 25 (PTI) 'Slumdog Millionaire' star Frieda Pinto who has been romantically linked to her co-star Dev Patel says he is a great guy but stops short of admitting their relationship.
Dev's mother recently confirmed that Pinto-Patel who play childhood sweethearts in Danny Boyle's Mumbai potboiler are dating each other.
Pinto who is shooting for Israeli film 'Miral' in Tel Aviv was pictured cozying-up to Patel during a lunch date.
But the 24-year-old star still calls Dev as her co-star, Daily Mail online reported.
"One thing I have found difficult is the lack of privacy. I'm constantly asked if Dev and I are in a relationship, and I don't know what to say," Pinto said.
"He's a really, really, great guy, and I couldn't have asked for a more wonderful co-star. He's adorable, and a good friend. He always will be," the actress added.
The star was earlier engaged to actor Rohan Antao but broke-up after finding success.
"I was engaged to actor Rohan Antao, but we broke up at the end of last year. Things happen and you have to learn to deal with them," Pinto said.

The ‘ Most Beautiful People’ list has been topped by Samantha Who? Star Christina Applegate, who won admiration for her fight against breast cancer, reports People.
Michelle Obama, who has achieved celebrity status and wowed the world as a fashion icon, made it to the list for the first time.
Zac Efron and Rob Pattinson, who have huge teen girl following, also joined the list.
Pattinson's vampire-loving co-star Kristen Stewart, teen music idols Nick and Joe Jonas also made the coveted list for the first time.
George Clooney, Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt and Halle Berry are also part of the list.
Meanwhile, rumours are abuzz that Patel and Pinto are dating each other.
The reports were further confirmed when the pair was recently caught enjoying an intimate lunch date in Israel, where Pinto, 24, is filming on location.
Also, Patel’s mum has confirmed her son’s off-screen romance with Pinto.

Frieda Pinto: The New Face Of Estee Lauder
'Slumdog Millionaire' actress Frieda Pinto has all good offers in hand after her role as 'Lalita' in the Hollywood jackpot, which bagged eight Oscars, seven BAFTAs and four Golden Globes. The 24-year old has recently signed a deal to front cosmetics giant Estee Lauder. She has bagged a six-figure sum to be the face of the company's future endorsements.
Frieda Pinto is in talks over final negotiations over a 200,000 million deal. She will go on to become the brand's first Asian spokeswoman.
Frieda was previously said to have Kate Winslet's LA agent on her speed dial while boasting of having ear of the top actress herself, Angelina Jolie. Veteran director Woody Allen signed her to star in his upcoming film.
Previous Estee Lauder ambassadors have included Liz Hurley and Gwyneth Paltrow.
