Neha Dhupia leads a good life by enjoying the small li’l things which make for a huge and lovely package.

Many people consider big feats and lavish living as integral ingredients to leading the good life. But to me, it is the small little things that matter and make for a big package at the end of the day.

My parents have instilled values such as humility and love for all in me. And every time I put these values to use, I receive great acceptance even from strangers. My biggest strength is my mind. And it keeps ticking all the time. Sometimes, it gets difficult to relax especially during hectic shoot schedules. And the one perfect solution I have found to unwind is to indulge in sports.

I love to go swimming, play squash or badminton, go for a run or just hit the gym. Workout always and completely unravels many tensions in my mind. Whenever I am in any part of the world, I go for a run and feel 100 per cent involved in physically tiring myself. I don’t workout because my profession requires a fit bod, I do it because I love sports. Once done, my mind’s fresh and I am raring to go. Everytime I can achieve this, I feel my life’s just great. I take each day as it rolls in its surprises. Great food is also an ingredient to have fun with.

Neha Dhupia : One-night stand is fine

Neha Dhupia made headlines with her line ‘In India only SRK and Sex sell’. Now the focus is on her again with Pritish Nandy Communications’ Raat Gayi Baat Gayi releasing tomorrow.

The movie, produced by Rangita Pritish Nandy and directed by Saurabh Shukla, won the best film award at the HBO Asian International Film Festival in New York last month. Neha plays the mysterious gorgeous woman hunted down by Rajat Kapoor, Vinay Pathak and Dalip Tahil, after a night of lots of drinking, sex and zero memory! Ask her if it’s a bold role and she replies candidly, “If you are asking in terms of skin show, then no. But if being bold is a state of mind, then yes.” That’s Neha for you. Not one to mince words, the actress speaks to BT about relationships, sex and movies...

What’s your take on one-night stands?
The problem with one-night stands is that you end up hurting so many people. As long as you are not hurting any one, it’s fine.

In Raat Gayi Baat Gayi you have a one-night stand with a married man...
There are seven characters in the film! Why do you assume it’s my character who’s had the one-night stand? Are you assuming that because I am attractive... Not fair!

Do you think the Indian audience is opening up to sex in movies?
Dev D was a big hit. Indian audiences are open to fantastic scripts. Raat Gayi... is a funny kind of a thrilling experience that takes you through a drunken night. You don’t really know what happened last night. The film is packed with a lot of emotions and it is very relatable. You can relate to one or the other character.

You've done movies of various genres... what's your favourite?
It’s very hard for me to say that. Right from my roles in Singh Is Kinng, De Dana Dan, Mithya, Ek Chaalis Ki Last Local to Raat Gayi Baat Gayi, everything is challenging and at the same time everything is easy. I don’t over-intellectualise the whole acting medium. I’m not working because I have to work. I’m working because I really enjoy doing so.

Are you happy with the way your career has shaped up so far?
I am. I had made a few mistakes, but I don’t regret anything. They have been learning experiences. I have come a long way, but I also have a long way to go...

Hollywood is lonely: Neha Dhupia

It may be the in-thing for many Indian actors to flaunt even blink-and-miss roles in Hollywood movies, but actress Neha Dhupia is in no mood to leave the comfort of being at home.

''I don't think I can move out of India as it makes me feel very lonely. Call me a brat, but its just that I am so stuck with the comforts in my country that I can't see myself going to Hollywood now, unless they come to me," Dhupia told PTI in an interview here.

After getting rave reviews for two international assignments, both television shows, she said Hollywood offers also came to her kitty. "I did get few offers after that, but I didn't sign any projects," the actress said on the sidelines of a fashion show here to mark the launch of the eastern region finals of Signature Club Golf Championship.

She has finished shooting for Hollywood actress-singer Jessica Simpson TV show Price Of Beauty, where she was chosen as the Indian beauty ambassador.

In another American TV series, Bollywood Hero, which spoofs the Mumbai-based industry, Dhupia played a demanding Bollywood star alongside Hollywood A-listers like Keanu Reeves and Drew Barrymore.

After having debuted opposite Ajay Devgan in the 2003-hit Qayamat, the 29-year-old former Miss India keeps juggling between hardcore commercial movies and new-age offbeat cinema.

Neha Dhupia: 'I want to work with Shah Rukh Khan'

A few years ago, former Miss India and Bollywood starlet Neha Dhupia famously declared: “Only sex and Shah Rukh Khan sells!” In a desperate attempt to make it, she emerged from the sea in a tiny bikini in her debut film and went on to ‘act’ in skin-flicks like Julie and Sheesha.

But now Dhupia is desperate to prove that she is a serious actress. Her recent film Mithya was a moderate success and her performance was praised. The actress is delighted: “I’m glad that over time filmmakers have realised that I have more to give to the industry than just a beauty pageant-winner face.”

Does she mind the fact that she is best known as a sex symbol? “ I don’t really mind the tag. After all most of the women who are my contemporaries and have acted in 15 films – what’s their recall value?”

Dhupia has a new target: she wants to act with Shah Rukh Khan. “I really want to work with SRK before any of us stops acting.” But will the ‘King Khan’ oblige?

Beauty queen Neha Dhupia was tagged a 'sex symbol' after the portrayal of a prostitute in Julie, but she feels the image is now fading. "I'm happy with the kind of films I am getting, and, yes, the 'sex symbol' tag that I had got after 'Julie' is fading," siad Neha, who turns 28 on August 27.

Recently she was seen doing a variety of roles - she played a homely Gujarati girl in Chup Chup Ke and an ad executive in Delhii Heights. She was also seen in critically acclaimed Mithya and hit gangster movie Shootout At Lokhandwala.

Recently Neha showed her action skills with a few stunts in Akshay Kumar-starrer Singh Is Kinng. Though she managed the action scenes in the film, Neha says she will never take part in a show like Khatron Ke Khiladi.

Neha Dhupia has successfully managed to place herself in the league of hot actors this year! Her Ponds ad with Saif Ali Khan and Priyanka Chopra has been appreciated and so was her bikini shoot for a magazine! Neha was also the only Indian actress who Pierce Brosnan had chosen to be a Bond Girl, had he been the casting director of 007, when he was in India!

2008 seems lucky for Neha as she is all set to star opposite Akshay Kumar along with Katrina Kaif in Singh is Kinng. “I play a gangster-girl in the film and the role is very interesting”, said Neha. After Singh is Kinng, Neha will be seen in a thriller called Maharathi, where she will be seen with ace actors like Paresh Rawal, Naseeruddin Shah and Om Puri.

But its not just serious roles that she will be seen doing! She will also be seen in Mukta Arts’ light hearted comedy Paying Guest, where she will be seen working with theatre actor Paritosh Painter. Raat Gayi Baat Gayi will be another fun film which the actor is looking forward to as it has Vinay Pathak and Ranvir Shorey in it to give her company.

“I am really looking forward to all my films and am sure people will like them”, said Neha.

Neha Dhupia surprises herself

Neha Dhupia seems to have become very choosy now.

The actress who was mostly seen in hardcore masala films is now seen in hatke movies like Ek Chaalis Ki Last Local and Mithya , but her experiments don’t stop here. She has bigger and better films in her kitty this year.

The actress will be seen in Via Darjeeling that will see her working with the Rajat Kapoor-Vinay Pathak team once again. The actress even admits that she is now very comfortable with the entire unit.

“Initially they used to tease me for doing masala films, but that actually helped break the ice. Now things are so much comfortable. Plus, these films have made me realise that I enjoy doing comedies and have given me the confidence to experiment with my roles. Of course I am seeing a lot of Rajat and Vinay on the sets, but they are great to work with. I have surprised myself,” says Neha. You have surprised us too!

Dhupia shoots for American R&B video

The Bollywood beauty Neha Dhupia will be soon seen in an international music video of the famous American R&B artiste Ginuwine. This is a big achievement for Neha Dhupia who seems to be showing an upward trend in her career graph.

Elgin Baylor Lumpkin, Jr. better known by stage name Ginuwine, is an R&B singer and actor. He has been nominated three times for the American Music Awards in the category of 'Favourite Male R&B Artiste'. With his next music video starring Neha Dhupia, Ginuwine makes a comeback after a brief period of absence.

"Getting an opportunity to feature in an international music video of a celebrated artiste like him is not an everyday story for Bollywood actresses. I feel extremely lucky to be a part of this project. Ginuwine was looking for an urban Indian face and had short listed four Indian actresses for his song Baby, says Neha.

Neha has finished shooting for the video, which will release in India shortly.
